The beauty industry produces billions of plastic packages every year. This packaging contributes to hundreds of tons of waste as well as deforestation across the world. Additionally, products are filled with chemicals that can be damaging to our health.

Verre’s mission is to change the impact that our beauty products have on the world. We are reinventing the way we shop for products, by packaging your lotions, shampoos, makeup, and other daily products in glass jars that are refillable. We want customers to bring their Verre jars back to us, to refill or exchange their products.

Verre focuses on saving waste as well as providing clean products for our customers. By giving our customers the flexibility to fill the jars themselves, they can use products at their own pace and buy as much or as little product as they want. First-time customers pay for the jar and the product, but when they bring back jars we only charge for the product.

A staple at Verre, our body butter comes in multiple scents and is sold in our classic glass jar. For each scent, I drew a unique illustration that is displayed on the sides of the labels.

One of our core values is being an eco-friendly company. Our soap bars at Verre come in multiple scents and are sold in dissolvable packaging in order to create less waste. 

our concept

Verre focuses on being transparent to our consumers. We, at Verre, wanted to be able to communicate this idea to the customers with one of the very first things they come in contact with: the logo. Our logo displays a window that in tself represents our transparency in the products and the company. A glass-like window with a “V” inside of it represents just how clean and real our products are. We sell products in glass jars to communicate that we are open, honest, and transparent.

We understand that consumers can’t always make it to one of our stores. In order to combat that, we’ve created an online shopping space where consumers can get all of their favorite products shipped directly to their door.

Our photography is bright and filled with whites and light colors, evoking the transparency of glass. Photos of hands help the products appear more tangible, helping the user imagine the experience of using Verre products. Hints of nature throughout remind the viewer that sustainability and eco-friendliness is our goal.

When our customers sign up for our newsletter, we send out promotional emails informing customers of new products, sales, and more. These emails are filled with updates on our impact on the environment, information on gift cards, store highlights, product highlights, social media links, and other random promotions.
